Site Overview
Picturesque location, in abbey grounds, quiet and carefree
This is a favourite with our members! This site is inside Newstead Abbey grounds itself, adjacent to the walled garden which is always open to members. Next to the walled garden is playground for children to use as well as the most beautiful gardens to explore with lakes, streams and waterfalls. The abbey has a cafe that serves hot & cold food as well as drinks and ice creams. Entrance to the abbey building itself is at extra cost via the ticket office.
The entrance to the site is through the main gates to the Abbey, following the drive for about 0.5mile until you see the signs for the DA. The what3words link above will take you directly to the field entrance.
This site is quite remote and public houses, supermarkets and takeaways can only be accessible by car or cycle given the long driveway to this beautiful location.
Visit the Newstead Abbey website to find out more (https://newsteadabbey.org.uk).
Site Facilities - All sites have fresh water & elsan.

Arriving on site - You must report to the meet steward, have your membership card/s ready. The steward will take your details
and guide you to your ‘pitch’.

Click the w3w address above to see the site location on the map, from there you can start navigation with any of the below apps using your phone or mobile device.
Approaching the site - As we are now using what3words to pinpoint our sites, navigation should be much easier and accurate. However to help spot the site as you approach, we place signs to let you know you are close by and to help guide you. Site entrances can be hard to spot so we also try to put a feather flag at the entrance so you don't drive past.
