Site Overview

Hill side location overlooking Matlock, close to garden centre and Lumsdale Falls

This location is in a hill top location that overlooks the valley down to Matlock. Riber can be seen to the left, with Lumsdale to the right and Matlock in the distance.

This is a remote location that has a lovely walk down to a great pub called the Gate Inn (http://www.gatepub.co.uk). There is a great circular walk from here that goes to Lumsdale Falls, ideal morning walk to be back at the pub for lunch.

At the end of the drive to the campite there are two graden centres that are easily assessable by car. Tansley Barn Garden Centre (https://www.facebook.com/tansleybarngardencentre/) and Matlock Garden Centre (https://www.bluediamond.gg/garden-centre/matlock-garden-centre).

On Sunday mornings, you will find one of the largest car boot sales around. Tansley Market & Car Boot has lots of new and second hand stalls that are not to be missed (https://www.facebook.com/TansleySundayMarketCarBoot).

Approaching the site - As we are now using what3words to pinpoint our sites, navigation should be much easier and accurate. However to help spot the site as you approach, we place signs to let you know you are close by and to help guide you. Site entrances can be hard to spot so we also try to put a feather flag at the entrance so you don't drive past.
