It is with deepest regret that Derbyshire D.A. has to announce that Horace Gibson has passed away.

Horace and his wife Joan have been supporters of Derbyshire D.A. for the past 50yrs.

Horace always had a twinkle in his eye even though he has been ill following a stroke in 1983. A personal friend of many D.A. members, myself included, he will be sadly missed.

Even though Horace couldn’t get about, he always enjoyed his time away in the motorhome.

It was an honour for me to be in the position of Chairman and be able to present Horace and Joan with a certificate to celebrate their 50yrs in the club.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to his wife Joan and their family.

National Feast of Lanterns 2012

The 2012 NFOL is hosted by North East Region, this years theme is "Circus".
Booking forms can be obtained either from the website or from Janet SIms, DDA Booking Officer, who whill be submitting a block booking for the DA.

Block booking forms must be returned to Janet before 20th May

Over the weekend of 16th to 20th August 2012 members of The North East Region will be ready to welcome all members of The Camping and Caravanning Club to the 2012 National Feast Of Lanterns, at Long Newton Grange, Long Newton, Teesside, you can join us on Thursday and stay over on Sunday, the site is located just off the A66 between Darlington and Stockton, it has very easy access and is flat and compact).

Meets and THS's cannot take place without stewards and they will be cancelled.
Why not get in early at a venue you like, or one of our new ones, and put a bit back into our DA.
Your site fees will be paid for by DDA on the days you are working, making it even more attractive.
Help and advice is available for first timers.
We would like to fill the steward sheet a.s.a.p., so please come forward if you can help.
