A Message from Our Chairman

We have 6 places left for New Year, the venue offers electric hook-up, a great atmosphere, some hard standing and a small but warm and dry hall on site. Why not avoid the pushing and shoving of pubs, paying for baby sitters and join us with your family for the celebrations. Please contact Janet Sims to book your place, at £35 for three nights including hook-up, it is great value.

We also have Burns Night coming up at Doveridge, a popular weekend with a Scottish theme in the village hall. We have by popular request, Lucia Mattisse, who will be entertaining us on Saturday night. Lucia is the vocalist from Friday night at the Bonfire meet who had members on the dance floor from start to finish.

The A.G.M. follows that in February at the Copt. Oak, Leicestershire. This meet is added into our St. Valentines meet, details of the A.G.M. are in the magazine. Please try to attend, don’t forget to bring current membership cards.
We are looking for some new committee members as there are several retiring members, all have done their full terms. All that you have to do is commit to one evening a month for the meeting. As it has proven over the last few years, many hands make light work, so why not put yourself forward for election; it’s not hard work and can be very rewarding to see members enjoying the fruits of your labours.

Please don’t turn up Friday night (AGM Weekend) before 4.00 p.m. as the hall and field are in use by another user.

Notice is hereby given that the AGM of Derbyshire District Association will take place on Saturday 25th of February at 3.00p.m. prompt.
The meeting will take place at Copt. Oak, Leic. LE67 9QB. MR 129/482128.

Following on through the year we have a new venture, a ‘Rock and Roll’ weekend, this is to be held at the Ukrainian Youth Centre at Weston - on - Trent. We do hope this meet will an annual event and will be as big as the Bonfire meet, please give it a try and help us to make it a success.
