Packhorse Farm Meet ~ March 2011
A good time was had by all. The weather managed to hold out until Saturday night and boy did it rain. Didnt stop until 10 on Sunday morning.
There were 23 units, including friends from Leicestershire, Trent Valley, Notts and Chesterfield DA's. I hope you enjoyed your weekend with us and intend to attend many more of our meetings. Many thanks to Mark & Kelly with help from Diane, Vince and George for Stewarding the meet, great job, even if I did manage to park in the wrong place when I arrived.
Friday night saw Dorothy and Joan host their usual fun and games in the small barn. If you havent been to one of our meets and played Bingo you are missing out on some great entertainment. What a place and a must to visit even if it only to work out where the artificial leg belonged to.
Saturday saw a couple of groups heading out for a walk around the countryside, some of whom were brave enough to venture into Belper for the afternoon. The evening saw Dorothy and Joan yet again host a gala bingo evening followed by a quiz which was much appreciated and everybody enjoyed themselves. Special thanks must go to George for keeping the fire going and making the barn cosy.
Sunday morning was coffee morning in the barn Where Janet thanked everybody for attending and making the weekend a great one.
