Onecote Grange, June 2008
A fantastic week end attracting 21 units, 15 from Derby, with visitors from Staffs, North Staffs, Chesterfield and Trent Valley D.A’s.A big thanks to Karl and Debbie Drew for stewarding the week-end. The weather although not as forecast turned out nice in the end.
On Saturday Karl led a walk to the Mermaid Inn, well worth a visit with some odd tails to tell, but do ensure your boots are clean or you take bags to put on. The Pub is a good walk through gorgeous countryside and meadow land with fantastic, panoramic views, or a drive of around 4.5 miles.
The site is on a working dairy farm, and, although being slightly uneven everyone managed to get level.
