Moira Birthday Weekend
28 units turned out for the weekend, and even though the weather was a little unpredictable the weekend was a great success.
Saturday afternoon was well supported with a very active game of volleyball with both players and spectators enjoying all of the fun. This was followed by a team event of the various games supplied by members, thanks to all who participated, cheered on and supplied the equipment.
Unfortunately rain stopped play, but everyone came back out after the precipitation and play was resumed.
The happy hour again was well attended, and our regional vice chairman Gordon Blakeman was prevailed upon to cut the birthday cake, which was enjoyed by all.
Thanks to everyone who joined in, to make this an exceptional Saturday afternoon, and thanks to Paul and Racheal Slater for carrying the volley ball equipment around the meets.
Lets hope the weather and the venues allow a repeat of this weekend during the season. See you all on the field somewhere, sometime soon.
