Highfield’s Happy Hens
A new site for 2008 and booked again for next year!Although the weather forecast was inclement to say the least, a disappointing 10 units turned out. Not one child was camping with us despite Happy Hens being geared up for children, a shame really.
Thanks to Pat and Barry for standing in and stewarding, also to The Clulow's and Joan for the entertainment Saturday night, with skittles, shove halfpenny, and bingo….which I won twice.
We had a visit to a micro brewery where the beer was a fantastic 6.5%.......well worth a visit at £2 per pint. Thanks to John, an old DA member, who owns it and was the host for the afternoon.
It is well worth a visit to the farm even if not camping. The farm is not open to visitors on Sundays.
