Easter Meet at Caldecott 2011
There was 31 units attending the meet and a good time was had by all. Friday and Saturday were free and easy with a social Saturday night in the village hall where the children made Easter bonnets with Dot and Joan and Bingo was played. Sunday was the main events day with Find the Eggs with prizes for all of the 19 children there, followed by Egg Throwing, Judging the bonnets for adults and children, a raffle of sacks of potatoes (supplied by the farmer) for charity (Click Sergeant. com, a children’s cancer support charity) we raised £40 and finally the boat race with boats made from the contents of the recycling bag. A social was held Sunday night with a card game and music. A quantity of sweets supplied by a kind member were distributed over the tables for everyone to help there selves.

Thanks to Simon the Easter Bunny and everyone who helped clear up after the socials and also Pete and Lynn who stewarded.

The field was in fine form, level, dry with lush grass. The weather was hot and sunny with a light breeze making it a most pleasant meet.

There were 16 visitors from 12 different D.A.’s and 16 Derbyshire units. The children were in fine form, very well behaved, a credit to their parents and the club. Many made new friends during their adventures in safe and secure surroundings.

Please see photographs of the events.

If you see a photograph of your child on the website that you feel shouldn't be on then please contact Jo Mutch and she will remove it.
